We went to see Springsteen last night in Saratoga. He was doing his Seeger Sessions stuff – labor movement and anti-war songs with a 17-piece rag time band. It was really great.

But his die-hard fans were annoying – they seemed to think they were at a frat party or Madison Square Garden, not a beautiful outdoor venue in the Adirondacks. Many of them hooted, “Brooooooce!” between and during songs. A couple of people in our aisle just kept getting in and out, making everyone have to scrunch their knees so they could walk by.

This car in the parking lot reminded me of going to Giants games with Rockets and seeing people with team tatoos up and down their arms.
